Limbs Defects:
Amelia: Absence of one or more limbs.
Meromelia: The limbs are represented only by hands and feet attached to the trunk.
Micromelia: Very short limbs.
Polydactyly: Presence of extra fingers or toes.
Syndactyly: Fusion of two or more fingers or toes.
Club foot: The sole of the foot is turned inwards and the foot is adducted and planter flexed.
Congenital hip dislocation:This abnormality which is more common in female results from underdevelopment of the acetabulum and/or the head of the femur.
Achondroplasia: This is a systemic abnormality of the skeletal system caused by disturbance of the cartilaginous ossification in the epiphyseal plates of the long bones. It is characterized by dwarfism and short limbs.
